INDICATIONS

Ce médicament est préconisé en cas de :
- rééquilibration ionique par apport de chlorure et de sodium ;
- déshydratations extra-cellulaires ;
- véhicule pour apport thérapeutique ;
- hypovolémie.


POSOLOGIE et MODE D'ADMINISTRATION

Voie veineuse en perfusion.
A titre indicatif pour l'adulte, selon le poids et l'état du malade : de 500 ml à 3000 ml par 24 heures.
1 g de chlorure de sodium correspond à 17 mmol d'ion sodium.

CONTRE-INDICATIONS

Absolue(s) :
  • Rétention hydrosodée
  • Insuffisance cardiaque
  • Cirrhose hépatique décompensée

MISES EN GARDE et PRECAUTIONS D'EMPLOI

  • Respecter les conditions d'utilisation du médicament
    - Avant utilisation d'une poche, vérifier qu'elle ne fuit pas en la comprimant fermement.
    - Eliminer toute poche présentant une fuite.
    - Eliminer tout conteneur partiellement utilisé.
    - Vérifier la limpidité de la solution.
  • Compatibilité du médicament en mélange à vérifier
    Avant adjonction d'un médicament, vérifier :
    - s'il est soluble et/ou stable dans l'eau
    - si la zone de pH correspond à celle pour laquelle l'activité du médicament reconstitué est optimale.
    II incombe au médecin de juger de l'incompatibilité d'une médication additive vis-à-vis de la solution de chlorure de sodium à 0,9 %, en contrôlant un éventuel changement de couleur et/ou une éventuelle formation de précipité, de complexe insoluble ou de cristaux.
    Se référer également à la notice accompagnant le médicament à ajouter.
    Lorsqu'un médicament est ajouté à la solution de chlorure de sodium à 0,9 %, le mélange doit être administré immédiatement.
